Peace can be ours ~ If we keep our mind stayed on Him, He will keep us in perfect peace. He is the Prince of peace and all we need. He is our peace in time of struggle, and when our mind is troubled. Scripture says to think on things that are lovely, pure and of good report. As a person thinks in his heart, so is he. Each thought has a physical reaction as our body and actions are a direct result of our thoughts. If we change our thoughts we can change our life. Therefore, it is important to purposefully think peaceful thoughts no matter what and speak positive words. To be of a carnal mind is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. No matter what the event or what we may be dealing with, God has a peace sufficient for our needs. He will keep us in perfect peace if we keep our mind stayed on Him. This peace passes all understanding and can be unexplainable, even when the situation may appear to call for worry and depression. God’s peace will keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, keeping us steadfast and unmovable, ever abounding in His plans. It is an inner peace and confidence in the only one who has the power to change the situation, as it is a gift from God. God’s thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us a future filled with hope.
The Word of God is peace ~ by searching the scriptures for our very situation, we can find the remedy for our problem and the end result is peace if we only believe. The Word says to be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God. He has an answer for us, so that we can live and walk in peace. People will feel the peace when they come around us, because when we focus on God and not the situation, we will be at peace. Sometimes we have to take peace by force ~ and not be ruled by our circumstances which are subject to change. We don’t have to change with them, we can stay in peace, it is a choice. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 We can cast all of our care upon Him for He cares for us.
