The Power of Expectation

The power of expectation can make the Word of God become flesh in your life. We should expect the promises of God and His miracles to manifest. A farmer does not plant seeds and not expect a harvest. You can’t plant a seed of corn and expect a harvest of tomatoes. You will reap what you sow, and what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. There is a process, that involves time and faith. There is a season and time for everything. God is the author and finisher of your faith ~ trust the process!

Surrender daily, remaining mindful that it may take patience, for at times there is a waiting period for the promises to come forth. Again, seedtime and harvest! During this waiting period, God is at work on your behalf. Your expectation should be of Him, not from man or anything else in life. God satisfies like no other can or ever will. He will never let you down, not show up, change his mind, lie to you, go to sleep, forget or be late. He is an on time God! His Word is true, He does not change and He is no respecter of persons. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to be a living example of the depth and width of His love for you! Jesus has redeemed us from living a life of despair and hopelessness. He is the way ~ the only way!

This highlights the importance of being a student of the Word, ever learning so that you to come to know and experience the enhancer of the Word, the Holy Spirit. He will give you the courage to keep pressing forward and believing for a bountiful harvest, because there is a blessing in the press! Even if you have past failures, or expected more of yourself at this stage of life, start where you are, today, right now. “Forgetting those things that are behind, and reaching forward to those things that are ahead, press toward the goal of the prize of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ.”

It is important to have now Faith, faith for the moment, filled with expectation of a blessed future. We can’t live on yesterday’s Faith, or tomorrow’s Faith, God provides a daily allotment of Faith for today. Fresh manna, bread from heaven, to meet all of your needs right now! Believe right now ~ see it spiritually expect it to happen, and live and act like it is and will be yours. Faith is calling those things that are not as though they are. Faith without works is dead! Active Faith will grab hold to the promises of God in His Word and take it from the spiritual realm and call it forth in the natural, just like planting a seed. Sometimes, you have to take what is yours by force! When you know who you are and whose you are, you will know what you can do, and what you can have, because God is your Father and you are anointed from above to succeed. The Word says, touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm. It also says no weapon formed against you will prosper ~ it may be formed, but it won’t work or prevail! You will receive what you expect, according to your faith, be it unto you.

With this knowing, you can patiently push and press through the trials and storms of life, there is a bright side somewhere. Live life to the fullest, expect big things, dream big, you serve a big God! He made you on purpose and filled your with purpose! You were fearfully and wonderfully made! Beloved, live like you know who and whose you are. Blessed and not cursed, above and not beneath, the lender and not the borrower, the head and not the tail, don’t live beneath your God given authority and dominion!

God is the potter and you are the clay. Everyday of your life, you are being shaped, molded and renewed in your spirit when you allow Jesus to be the Lord of your life. God is molding the cup of your life so it can hold all He wants to bless you with and fill it until it runs over. No one pours anything into a broken vessel as the cracks must be repaired before the vessel can be filled. God desires to fill you with His Holy Spirit and mend the cracks in you. Where you are or were broken, allow God to fix it and build you up if you are torn down. Even if you lose focus and sin, don’t let that make you lose your focus on God and His love for you. God is merciful and knows that we are just flesh living in a sinful world, but he sees you through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ, and you are worthy and righteous through His eyes. He wants you to live a life of overflow ~ a life where you can bless others from the saucer because of the overflow.

Meditate on the Word of God and all He has done in you, for you and through you. Read His resume. Let your expectation be of Him and you can live a life filled with peace, hope and actualized dreams. Expect to win, see it in your mind and you will see it in time!
